What is it?
A perfect facelift corrects the different factors contributing to facial ageing, sagginess of tissue, loss of volume and lax skin.
Incisions can be made in the hairline starting at the temples, continuing down and around the front of the ears and ending behind the ears in the lower scalp.
The surgeon lifts the skin off the deeper facial muscles and fat, gently pulls the skin in an upward and posterior direction, and removes the excess skin. The surgeon may also tighten the deeper tissues of the face. Sometimes it is sufficient and in fact recommended to address volume loss only. This is usually done via micro-fat grafting. This is known as volumetric facelift or Voluma. In suitable patients Voluma can achieve excellent outcomes without any scars.
