What is it?
Otoplasty (or ease reshaping) is a procedure to change the shape, position or size of the ears. An incision is made in the back of the ears. Through these incisions the cartilage is shaved, bent, whittled, and removed, depending on the surgeon’s preference and the particular problem. The skin is then closed, and a form-fitting dressing is placed. Each ear takes approximately an hour.
